Pyrginae House
Inspired by a native butterfly resident of the site, this house was designed at the request of Wallpaper magazine as part of their “Future 30” feature. 30 architects from around the world were invited to propose ideas for the future of housing. This design utilizes off-the-shelf construction materials in a multi-bay parti which would allow the size of the house to be easily modified depending upon specific client needs and easily expanded down the line. Solar harvesting and water retention are used as defining elements of the architecture.
