Designed for a unique 3-sided waterfront property in Fort Lauderdale, the home is intended to be a sanctuary for a woman with early onset Alzheimer’s Disease and her partner.  Fossa is Latin for “moat” wherein by putting water on the fourth side of the house, the sanctuary was defined as a psychologically defendable space.  It was, unfortunately, not built because the onset was much more rapid than anticipated.
