La Communidad
Miami, Florida. Designed as part of a closed competition for the ad agency, this proposal was inspired by a unique circumstance. I had spent two days at the agency shadowing staff to find the essence of their operation. I was leaving at the end of the second day and feeling lost as I had not found that “essence”. As I walked out the door to the parking lot, I looked down the corridor that led to the restrooms. A young man was sitting on a five-gallon bucket with his fingers flying across the computer nested on his lap. I immediately knew the space needed to be divided up into unique niches where the creatives could withdraw when needed to create, with meeting rooms and actual desks becoming secondary support spaces.
